What you can use today
Public framework
MIT-licensed setup guidance, templates, reusable AI actions, and optional modules. Formerly ContextOS; the existing GitHub URL still works. Requires setup and authorized access to your tools.
App in private testing
The separate iPhone, iPad, and Mac app is being developed around recording, transcription, prompt actions, and connected follow-through. It is not a public download or an app-source release.
The Experience
Capture → understand → confirm → follow through
Keep originals and corrections connected to summaries and outputs. Distinguish an idea from a commitment. Confirm proposed changes into the existing task workflow. Recording quality, interruption recovery, and cross-device behavior require real-use testing; the framework alone does not supply those services.
Ownership
Your records outlast the model
Current original notes and user direction outrank older AI recall. Memory connectors are optional, replaceable indexes. Private and excluded content stays outside unapproved processing. Each assistant needs explicitly configured access; switching providers should not mean rebuilding your history.
Start Small
Let your assistant help with setup
Open the repository with a file-capable assistant and ask: “Read BOOTSTRAP.md. Help me set up the Mason framework in a separate private workspace. Start small and show me the plan before creating anything.” The repository includes a synthetic walkthrough and an availability roadmap.
Reflect Open
Framework and app have different roles
The separately developed app builds on Reflect Open. The public Mason framework defines the context and operating rules. This is not an official Reflect Open release or a claim of endorsement. Upstream contributions follow the project’s own review process.
