Ascent is built by Lemieux Strategic Solutions, LLC. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and what it does not do.
Ascent uses Sign in with Apple as its only authentication method. When you sign in, Apple provides a unique user identifier and, at your option, your name and email address. Your sign-in information is stored in the app’s data store and may sync through your private iCloud account when available.
Your journal entries, step progress, reflection responses, and preferences are stored on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and may sync through your private iCloud account when available. Journal entries and reflection responses are not sent to RevenueCat for advertising measurement.
Ascent offers an optional premium subscription at $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Subscription transactions are processed through Apple's App Store and managed through RevenueCat. Lemieux Strategic Solutions does not handle or store your payment information. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Optional usage analytics remain off unless you opt in through Settings. This setting is separate from subscription processing and Apple Ads attribution described below.
The next app update introduces the attribution described in this section; earlier versions do not send this attribution token. Ascent uses Apple's AdServices framework and RevenueCat to measure whether an Apple Ads campaign led to an app installation and subsequent subscription. The app sends an Apple attribution token to RevenueCat, which obtains attribution information from Apple and associates it with the app's RevenueCat customer record and subscription transactions. Available information may include the campaign, ad group, keyword, and conversion type.
We use standard attribution without requesting App Tracking Transparency permission or collecting the advertising identifier (IDFA) for this purpose. Journal entries, reflection responses, prayers, and practice-log content are not included. This measurement is separate from optional usage analytics. We do not sell your data. We use Apple and RevenueCat for the limited subscription and attribution purposes described above. We do not display ads. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites.
Because your journal entries and progress are stored locally, they are subject to your device's own security and backup settings. If you use iCloud Backup, that data may be included in your iCloud backup per Apple's terms.
Ascent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page. This page will identify material changes and when they apply.
